Michelle Stakutis is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 25 years of experience helping clients improve their lives using mindfulness, CBT, somatic awareness, and self-care. She has a Master's Degree in Public Health and has studied anatomy and brain science. She is also a yoga teacher and offers a holistic perspective to health. Michelle's specialties include helping adults manage stress, deal with difficult emotions, life transitions, parenting, aging, health issues and life concerns. Clients learn practical strategies and tools that they can use right away to start feeling better. Michelle understands that therapy is very personal, and brings no expectations to sessions. She works with clients at their own pace, striving to create a safe, compassionate, trauma-sensitive space where healing and growth takes place. She accepts most private insurance, medicare, and self pay, and offers 15 minute consultations to meet prospective clients and answer questions.
Michelle Stakutis is also a Reiki Master, practicing for more than 20 years. She has found Reiki to be an effective way to access relaxation, balance energy, and focus healing, and it is beneficial on its own or as an adjunctive treatment. She believes health includes the mind, body, and spirit, and uses a holistic approach to help her clients feel better. She offers a variety of clinical and alternative modalities to accommodate her clients’ individual preferences and needs. She works with clients interactively, striving to create a safe, compassionate, trauma-sensitive space. She offers 15 minute online consultations to meet prospective clients, and answer questions. Reiki sessions are offered in person and usually last 50 minutes.
